Crime Busters is now released in 6 or 7 countries. Most releases are from around 2010 - 2013. The 2013 German release is the best transfer from that period but has forced German subs (for English audio).

Soul Media released two new editions of the film in 2021 in Finland and Denmark.

I am wondering if they have a newer transfer, or the same transfer as Germany, and if it can be listened to in English without the forced subs?

I also saw a thread here saying Soul Media did crappy releases often with 1080i 50 and sub par audio...

Hoping someone has seen the Soul Media release and can advise on the disk.

OK - I was being a bit lazy - I have just confirmed some details (at least according to the BD.com database)..

2013 German edition has proper 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio on a BD50. MPEG-4 AVC

Both 2021 Soul Media editions are 1080/50i with Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono on a BD25. VC-1 The rear cover art also confirms the Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono audio.

So they appear inferior on the surface.

edit: (also appears to be the exact same disk and packaging for all Scandinavian countries so it's really just one edition not two as I said initially)
