Great news, I’m so glad that old TV shows are still being released on Blu-ray. I absolutely love the film and the TV series.

Excellent news. I’ve been streaming the show Paramount+, but they don’t have all the episodes for some reason.

AS long as they don't edit the episodes(for whatever reason) I am interested!

If it's the same masters as the DVD set, many episodes will have significant sections cut for music.

Yep.

It's nice to see it coming, and I'll pick it up when I can find it as cheaply as possible, but after the Cheers fiasco I know the versions will likely still be edited and hacked of music and they may find a way to edit or change a few more songs somehow, so I'm not jumping to buy on day one unless a wonderful friendly person takes one for the team and preorders and tells us everything's good now.

It’s always nice to see more classic TV on Blu-ray, but where is the “I Love Lucy” complete series set?

I’ve been watching Cheers on Paramount+ for the first time and I’ll sadly never be able to experience Cheers with the original music.

It's manufactured on demand, but it won't be a BD-R (a common misconception with MOD releases). It'll basically be the same as any standard BD release, it just won't be sold in store or anything.

I wish they would just release these boxes in the UK or Europe where music rights are not as big of an issue. I really want to support these kinds of releases, but if there's going to be cuts or music replacement, then forget it.

Yeah, but streaming is closer than disc.

The music rights= major issue in the US. I’m a David Hasselhoff fan and the recent Knight Rider Blu-ray box set from Turbine had all the original music which pleased the fans. Also got the original music for the Baywatch BD release in the UK.

Yeah, this is one of my all-time favorites, but I already own the DVD set. Unless we get reports that the Blu restores most of the cuts (fixing everything would be nice, but I'm trying to live in the real world), or eventually becomes dirt cheap, no upgrade for me.

I enjoyed this on DVD. The DVDs already looked good, so this should be an decent upgrade. + lossless dual mono. I hope the reunion tv film is included in HD, if not i have downloaded it in DVD quality from YouTube.

I'll be shocked if this set is anything more than just the same edited episodes as they appeared on the DVD set with no special features (aside from the few that were made for season 1).

I would have gladly bought the DVDs had those cuts not been made.
