Careful!!! it's like Crack!!! I am on day 7, and at 24 disks......

I watched Temple of Doom up-converted, and it looked really nice.... I think it's more based on the fact that it is Lucas' film.

Would be nice. I skipped them on DVD since they came out so late and I was already looking at BD.

Anything is possible. They are Paramount releases, however since Spielberg is a Blu fan and his films are exempt from HD-DVD releases anything can happen.

plus with the way things are going, i wouldnt be surprised if Paramount has made its announcement to go exclusively blu

actually its more of Spielberg's and Lucas films and paramount cant release Spielberg's films on hd-dvd blu-ray only so if anything we will at least get the 4th indiana jones movie on blu-ray but the first 3 who knows i would not hold my breath for those. would be kick ass to have all 4 on blu tho.

I doubt the first 3 will be out on blu in time for this summer's #4 ... especailly as the Indiana Jones trilogy DVD boxset has only been out a couple of years and people are likely to have snapped it up.

However, they'll probably try and double-dip by releasing a 4-movie BD box set in time for Christmas '08.

My prediction is that there will be a not-exactly-overflowing-with-bonus-features BD of Skull in Nov. The first 3 & possible boxset will show up Christmas 2010.

I would bet this Christmas at the soonest, Day and Date with the DVD. In a 4 disk set only at first for the Blu-Ray. I'd buy it!

The only one Spielberg has an official say in is the 4th film.
Amblin is not a production house on the other three movies.

Of course he also has the ear of Lucas, who DOES control the other three movies.

Spielberg has official say in all 4 movies as per his contract with Paramount that SPECIFICALLY excludes Spielberg movies.

And if you think Indy isn't a co-production no matter whose name is on it, those guys have been best friends for close to 40 years now.

I am 95% certain you will have all 4 on Blu by Christmas, they won't release them in May though. The DVDs are a re-promote, these are new product

To me, Jone's is almost as good as the Star Wars Trilogy in terms of holding a golden nugget.

I SUSpect that perhaps this could be a major way to kick off a Paramount annoucement in a few months.

With a paramount blu annoucement right around spring time before the 4th comes out? That would be huge. Just like last spring when the first two pirates hit a week before the 3rd one hit the movies.

Then the 4th comes out for xmas on blu and you can do a package for those that will buy the set as a gift.

That would be so amazing if true and a great sell for the Blu-ray format.....and no worry of a ported low bit DUD encode. Raiders of the Lost Ark is my all-time favorite movie!

I think so. I bought IJ and the Last Crusade used at half price around four years ago. The DVD upconverted to 1080p in my Sony BDP-S301 has exceptional picture quality. Nevertheless, should it go Blu, I won't hesitate to get it along with Raiders to get better AQ, which I hope will include LPCM 5.1 -7.1 tracks. But I will pass on the Temple of Doom which didn't appeal to me.

If Paramount released the Indiana Jones films on Blu-Ray, I would be a definite buyer.

If they released them quickly... ie. just as they return to the Blu side of the force, then that would be a good form of apology for their conduct of recent times.

Speaking of Indiana Jones, here's a picture from the movie.
