Hopefully, I guess they don't know how to spell Charlton.

But I'm looking forward to getting this film on Blu-ray, more Heston is always a good thing in my opinion.

This was released in France & Germany last year, I have the German Blu-ray & it looks very nice. Another Universal seventies film was also released in those countries, The Great Waldo Pepper (I have the German release of that one too), so I wonder if that's coming from Shout as well?

Great film and that's a pretty decent price ($18.97).
Amz.ca will probably jack that to $32 Cdn so might pre-order.

edit: And as for more Heston, where the devil is "The Naked Jungle"? LONG OVERDUE, That's where! heh.

Even though I never see the cover on my shelf, it annoyed me enough that I flipped it to the alternate artwork, which is actually a pretty cool piece of original poster art too.

That German BD also has some added footage missing from the US release print spliced back into the film. Well worth importing if you can play Region B.

My copy delivered today. I put it on to take a peak. Transfer looks quite good from what I see.

What a cast! Heston, McHattie, Beatty, Reeve, Harewood, O'Keefe, Carradine, Keach, Cox and more. Best presentation I've ever seen. Last time was the late show in the 80s.

Watched this last night. Was blown away by the quality of the picture. Did not expect this from a Universal catalog title. Especially after buying and watching The Great Outdoors and seeing how poor the transfer was.

I had never seen Gray Lady Down before and only knew of it through its reputation. I enjoyed the film very much and can see myself rewatching it often.

Finally watched this today, had never seen it before and just wow. Besides a quality film, the transfer here is just stunning, I was quite blown away by how good this looks.

Holds up real well. Didn’t care for it during theatrical release. This fairly stunning transfer really heightens the action and suspense. Wonderful scan provided by Universal. A bit slow at times, but the submarine scenes are pretty exciting and nicely staged.

A much better experience than when I saw this at the movies as a teenager.
