WB loves anniversaries but they missed their chance last year for the 45th. So I dunno when we'll get this, but I assume it's only a matter of time. Just hope it's the theatrical cut.

A 4K scan may exist, but was it graded for HDR? The whole film will need to be re-graded. And I was unable to find any information regarding if the remaster itself was finished and exported at 4K.

I'm sure we'll get there eventually, when Warner are willing to drop the funds to complete a 4K HDR remaster.

Will the CGI (smoothing over) be a part of the original TC? Will the colour grading be more faithful? And what about the original audio?

I have 1997 original dvd release of The Exorcist. It has the original WB logo at the beginning and no blue tint. I want that version in a 4k print with HDR. I will be happy!

I want this so bad, but I'd rather they took their time to make a proper 4k version with the correct color and aspect ratio and all that stuff than to have a terminator 2 4k kind of crap

I agree! But, they do need to get to working on this soon!
