Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past Concept

Neat…but this game is a masterpiece and I would be thrilled with a pixel perfect port running natively on Switch. Don’t even care if they keep it in the original 4:3 aspect ratio. If another Zelda game gets a remake, it should be Ocarina of Time because that game has not aged well graphically.

I absolutely want HD remasters/remakes of Ocarina and Majora, I want 3D remakes of the Oracle games, I’d like a console version of Link Between Worlds (never had a DS) but Link to the Past might be the only game in all of video games I wouldn’t want a remake of. Its an absolutely perfect game as is. Now that’s not to say I wouldn’t play a remake of course but its the one game that can’t be topped in my mind.

Now like Heyadol said, a pixel remaster of the original game to be on modern hardware natively at 1080p or higher? Yes, I’ll take that for sure.

Looks good as another take on the game, but if they made it, I'd still stick with the 2D as the main version

That looks interesting, maybe Nintendo has a plan for the 30th anniversary. I was thinking it would be cool if Nintendo contracted a dev like Ember Lab to remake Ocarina of Time. Not necessary, there is plenty of in-house talent, but Ember Lab could be a good fit considering the attention to detail that went in to Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

Fans have reverse-engineered A Link to the Past and made source ports for PC, Switch, PS Vita and more.
It has native widescreen and MSU-1 (CD audio) support, in addition to many QoL changes.

Those fanmade Unreal engine "remakes" are hideous. They look like satire.

If Nintendo remakes Link to The Past it'll probably look like Link's Awakening, which ain't bad at all but still not preferential.
