Oh yes you can because we've been waiting for 15 years or more for a Blu-ray release. Now it's rumored as a 4K that's even better. Hopefully it's true.

The Abyss is my favorite James Cameron movie, while I'm excited to hear this news, It seems like we've been down this road many times before. Once artwork starts to surface (see what I did there?), and it's up for pre-order, then I'll start to believe it's truly coming.

I'm with everyone who has taken this trip before. I have lost count on how many times The Abyss has been announced and a date attached only to have nothing happen. I'll believe it when I am holding the disc in my hands.

Good question. I would assume so since DVD is still the biggest physical media format.

Awesome news but it's hard to get excited with Cameron involved. Excellent filmmaker but one of the worst revisionists out there outside of George Lucas.

I hope it's simply a new 4K master and he didn't tinker with the effects, new CG, etc. Also, who knows what it's actually going to look like since he has approved T2 being heavily DNR'ed.

Happy the film is finally coming out but apprehensive about the quality.

Here we go again......we've all been here before....I will set my optimism at extreme caution as I, like many of us, have been burned in the past with news of this finally coming out.

That source's Cameron quote says "the new master will be out by March 2023." It says nothing about a physical disc. Maybe it will be like the current one, which is streaming only!

A 5-star sci-fi opus that deserves a top-notch release but, yeah, "I'll believe it when I see it."
