Default Rosewood Lane / White Noise: The Light (Mill Creek Entertainment) - February 11, 2020

Mill Creek has released a horror double feature Blu-ray of Victor Salva’s Rosewood Lane and Patrick Lussier’s White Noise 2, licensed from Universal. While this isn’t the first Blu-ray release for Rosewood Lane, it is the US Blu-ray debut for White Noise 2, making this an ideal release for those who couldn’t buy the Canadian Blu-ray before it went OOP.

Just saw the review of this and it looks like Mill Creek ported over all the extras for White Noise 2. They didn't include the making-of feature though for Rosewood Lane, but those interested in it, that making-of extra can be easily found on YouTube if you really wanna check it out afterwards.

I didn't know about this until I saw the review today. I rented White Noise 2 way back when it first came out and loved it. I thought it was better than the first movie. I'm very excited about this release. I got the iTunes digital a long time ago when it was only available in SD.

It’s pretty bad. Easily Salva’s worst film. It’s not scary in the slightest and Rose McGowan isn’t particularly good in the film. Only worth watching for Ray Wise and Lin Shaye.

I only bought this for White Noise 2, otherwise I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to buy Rosewood Lane.

You’re lucky you didn’t have to spend a fortune on the Canadian double feature that includes both films that went OOP, unlike some unfortunate souls here. Thankfully Mill Creek ported over the extras, which rarely happens with them.

I haven’t seen that one. Mainly because the negative reaction to it has made me hesitant to see it.

Same, heard terrible things about it. But I agree, Rosewood Lane is pretty bad and the ending "twist" is ridiculous.

This disc is only really worth buying to own White Noise 2 which, until now, had never received a US Blu-ray.

Rosewood Lane here in Mill Creek form is technically worse. Even with a more efficient MPEG-4 AVC encode, the image arguably looks no different from the Universal release which used the outdated VC-1 encode, plus this disc is missing the 30 minute making of documentary.

If this had simply been a release that only contained Rosewood Lane, then it’d be entirely skippable, especially if you already owned the Universal release. However, you’d own this by default if you just want White Noise 2, like me. I only bought it for the latter film.

Has anybody here compared the Canadian White Noise 2 disc to this Mill Creek disc?

From what I saw on my friend’s copy, they’re both identical.
