A shame, as it's really good. Very film noir/future noir, would make a great triple feature with Strange Days & Dark City. Will preorder as soon as the US link is up.

Finally a 4k release I don’t feel compelled to pick up. Awful movie. Like mind boggling so. Boring, poorly cast, but let me tell you Ferguson’s wardrobe almost makes the movie worth a watch.

I'll have to agree that is was in fact awful. Horribly expositional dialogue, everyone has to telegraph what's on their mind in order for the plot to move forward. Despite an interest concept and being an ambitious project, very poor execution on almost every level. However, Jackman is always a good actor and he manages to turn in a respectable performance, which is a miracle considering the silly script. I hadn't read the reviews before putting it on this morning (didn't even know what the rotten tomatoes score was), but suffice it to say, I'll have to agree with the majority on this one.

I usually dig these futuristic neo-noir films, but this one is a miss. Too slow. I felt it was picking up steam in the second half, only for the ending to fall flat… Waste of good actors and interesting concept.

And I finally get the complaints about narration in films, kept thinking “was it like this in Blade Runner theatrical version, can’t remember”. So verbose and emotionless.

CGI Miami looked fake as hell on HBO Max. Hope that it will look better on higher bit-rate physical release.

I thought the inundated Miami looked decent but I think everything looks too digital and amateurish on HBOMax overall. I had the same issue with Wonder Woman 84 and every new film I've tried t watch on the platform.

Reminiscence is a long film at nearly 2 hours. I watched half before I lost interest somewhat. Plan on finishing but this won't be something I'm going to rush and buy on UHD right away unless the second half blows me away (it probably won't). I think we're going to see a lot more films with concepts like this. All I've been hearing about lately are how the ice sheets are melting and causing the seas to rise. Terrifying future to be honest.

Did you get any of the movies with issues on HBOMax on physical media? If so, did they look better?

I thought 2 hours was the standard length for movies nowadays. I'm somewhat surprised when some films end up being significantly shorter than that.

I've only had the service since January. So far I've only watched WW84 and one other film I can't even remember at the moment. Both had that overly digital look and now Reminiscence.

Man, I’d be really surprised if this actually gets a UHD release. Was very much in line with Blu-ray only WB fare like The Little Things and Those Who Wish Me Dead.
