France CONFIRMED : getting the First Season in November.
US announcement is coming really really soon!

I'm not going to get too excited until I find out the whole series is coming out. Not buying a few seasons just to have them drop it.

They are all coming. CBS announced that the remaster process will be completed in November of 2019 with the final season. So dont expect the final season BDs any time soon. That means the "complete" set is a long way to come.

CBS will be releasing 2 seasons per year at best!

I really hope they change their releasing habbits and we get more seasons per year.

Bringing it slowly is fine...at least the first couple of seasons...I still have the original 8 seasons separate dvd sets including the big ole season 1 box. So, as long as they don't drop it mid series, I don't mind the slow build on a series like this.

Case in point when Universal did the re-issue of Xena into the smaller cases, it took them 6 years start to finish. It took a while, but extremely happy with the sets now. Besides it gave me sufficient time to re-watch (I never bought the big first set). The only bad one was the season 5 to season 6 break which was 2 years, that was painful.

I never bought the DVDs, but I assume the music will still be wrong, so that's still a no for me.

Will only buy if the licensed music is 100% intact. The HD transfers that have aired elsewhere has all the music replaced. I am assuming they would license the proper music for the Blu-Rays but you never know anymore...

I guess Universal is the distributor in France then? Because it's Paramount/CBS in the US...

Maybe if they do complete series and a while after it's gone cheaper, I'll think about buying it. Unless they screw it up like Fox did with Buffy's HD remaster.

Great news. I do hope they don't retail these at $150 a season like they did initially with Star Trek. I will buy the seasons as they are released even though I am wary to do so.

I'd like an X-files like release where they put all the individual seasons out at the same time, available to purchase as seperate seasons or the big box that has them all together. I have to imagine that X-Files seasons 6-9 sold better by coming out during the big marketing push for the whole series, than they would of if Fox had staggered them over a few years.

I'd certainly prefer the original music be kept intact, but to be honest, I always found the song selections in Charmed were mostly generic and forgettable. In most cases I probably wouldn't even notice changed songs without it being pointed out.

i'm actually glad they keep the same FX like in original. Seeing Charmed with new updated FX would ruin it for me.

What I find weird is that here in Australia they are showing Charmed in HD on Syfy Monday-Friday and while the first two seasons had the theme song and all the music replaced the first half of season 3 had all the original music and the theme song restored before reverting back to the replacements. I wonder why that was?
