This eighties neo noir crime drama is on Prime so thought I'd give some thoughts on it.
It's not a bad film and worth a watch. It's cool to see Dennehy in a lead role. The story (pun intended) kind of unravels midway through, as the premise for collaborating on the book falls away as it's clear that hitman Woods is just going to kill the bad guy, not indict him. To that end, it would have been cool to see a scene where Dennehy really struggled with this realization. The upbeat song over the ending credits is way out of place. |
