I've had my eye on this one since the first trailer for it came out waaaay back in 2017!!
I honestly thought it looked too good to be true, and I was pretty sure it would slowly but surely become vaporware. But now it looks like by some miracle, it might just actually be released sometime later this year!! Please, please, please, please.... ![]() |

That's cool the combat appears to be real time. Nice colorful magic effects too.
I used to be okay with turn based, but after Phantasy Star 2 on Genesis, I lost all interest in turn based RPGs back then. It was relentless, as every few steps in the open map, an invisible enemy would find and interrupt you. That game only had a dark blue purple grid for the background too, no more background scenery either like the first classic game. But being interrupted so often was frustrating as all heck, along with having to constantly deal with choosing for which character would attack, retreat, heal etc. Phantasy Star 1 was the last great RPG turn based game I ever played back in the late 1980s as a kid. This game looks interesting. |
