Yes! One of my favorites. Was thinking about importing the UK version, no need for that anymore.

It's a great edition. Even for someone like me that only wants to watch the theatrical version!

I fell in love with movies all over again the first time I watched this around 1998 on the Bravo channel. Went out and purchased the soundtrack the following day and have picked up every legit home video release that's ever come out, including the Arrow Academy UK release. I'm going to sell that one and grab the US release.

Is this a new special feature ?

One of my friends recommended this to me and I held out on buying it because of third-party sellers ramping up prices. Good things do come to those who wait.
Now let's see what other Miramax titles Arrow can bring.

I think this and Hellraiser III may have been unique exceptions. If I'm wrong this could open up a whole lotta great possibilities, needless to say.

That's what I was thinking when they announced Hellraiser III on the Scarlet Box in the US, but this (Cinema Paradiso) is a deep catalog title that already had an US release.

There has to be more to them releasing a random Miramax title out of the blue.

And I don't see Lionsgate paying attention to the Miramax catalog lately; Glengarry Glen Ross, Hamburger Hill, The new Vestron line, and the upcoming Dirty Dancing; they all have been from their own back catalog.
So am thinking something is up.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new edition From Dusk Till Dawn that's planned for 2017 comes out through Arrow.

Of course this is all speculation, I have no confirmation of this.

Hardware's probably one, as Severin's rights lapsed and it's apparently back with Miramax.

I could also see Rampage happening (possibly with both the 1987 international cut and 1992 US cut) as Friedkin's been trying to get all of his movies released on Blu-ray.

And since this covers non-horror titles, maybe Almodovar's High Heels. I can't see Criterion doing it (Miramax hasn't licensed to Criterion since the Disney days) and Miramax has had it available through Starz on Demand (like Rampage, this one never got a DVD release in the States).

And speaking of Criterion, maybe Miramax still has Chungking Express and will let Arrow do that one.

I'll be picking this up as a blind buy. Welcome to the States, AA!

That would be a day 1 pre-order for me. Was just telling my brother that, when we were listing our Arrow Video top 5 "dream" titles, FDTD would make my list. Flash Gordon would be at the top. Can certainly add a few more possibilities to the list of realistic Arrow releases now that AA has entered the fray.

Finally! There's already a Region A release in Taiwan for a while now, but it's always nice to see a proper US release. Thank you Arrow.

Sony has the US rights to almost, if not all, of Almovodar's catalog, including HIGH HEELS and I believe that Criterion will be releasing them all on Blu-ray.

Criterion now has CHUNGKING EXPRESS back.
