I never do. But sometimes I wonder if I should. On the one hand, I have the blu ray so why do I need a bunch of digital versions on a hard drive that I never touch?
But on the other hand, you never know if one day companies will go all in on streeeeaaaaming, and put an end to all purchasable media- digital copies included. In this case I would regret not backing up all my movies and tv shows. What say you? |

I redeem them, my son watches most stuff on his TV streaming through his xbox. I stream quite a bit unless I can really take advantage of the TV and Atmos, basically when the wife isn't trying to sleep! (Family room and our bedroom area have connecting walls)

I redeem some, mostly the stuff younger kids in my family would watch... but not many. I will never buy a digital only thing, but I do see how getting a bonus digital version would be convenient if you're away or just are being lazy about putting a movie in and then putting it back up lol
To be fair, unless you're doing the iTunes version and downloading it, it's just in the cloud not on a hard drive. |

I redeem them. I liked the Bluray/DVD combo packs back in the day so I could watch anywhere (hotels and some places still don't have Bluray players). Now that streaming is surpassing DVD, codes are now my portable solution in their place.

redeem. I like being able to share the movies I have with my family so they can watch them whenever they please. Meanwhile, I use my awesome discs at home without having to have my family borrow my copies and potentially mess up the disc/packaging. Win win!

Redeem. Having movies downloaded to the iPad has been pretty handy when the power's out.
I do rip my 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs to 1:1 MKV (minus foreign audio tracks) for full quality local streaming. Alas, my PC'S quite anemic and I haven't really had the chance to find proper conversion settings for mobile (balance between speed, quality and file size). |
