Interesting. Probably to coincide with the Reboot.

Wonder if they'll include the lost episode with Destiny's Child's Song. They could always just do a cover for it.

To everyone who is skeptical about this, Disney has confirmed that this will be released on DVD soon! I just got an email from Disney Movie Club regarding their TV show releases and it mentioned The Proud Family.

There's no release date ATM, but this claims to contain all 52 episodes. If this is true, then this will be the first time that the episode "Don't Leave Home Without It" will be available officially. It will also include the movie (most likely it will be the same disc as the one from its original DVD release from 2005).

A DVD that sounds like it stunk, cropping a movie originally aired in 1.78:1 down to 4x3.

I feel your pain. As nice as it would be for this set to have a newer master of the movie using the 16:9 HDTV master, I think it's more likely that they'll reuse the original DVD which used the 4:3 SDTV master, since Disney usually doesn't bother remastering TV content that has already been released on DVD.

It really is a shame that Disney released the 2005-2008 DCOM DVDs (with the exception of the Kim Possible Movie) in a cropped 4:3 aspect ratio, as those movies were produced in 16:9 1080p HD. Out of all of the DCOMs from that era, only the musical movies (High School Musical trilogy, Camp Rock, and The Cheetah Girls 3) were lucky enough to be released on Blu-ray in their original 16:9 aspect ratio. I personally would love to have owned Minutemen on Blu-ray (or a widescreen DVD) if it was released. I know they're available on Digital HD, but from looking at the listed runtimes these are the broadcast prints. The DVDs were extended editions for some of them.

Disney+ has The Proud Family Movie both widescreen and extended; my siblings and I checked not long after I began my free trial. Minutemen has widescreen picture and a 1:31:35 runtime; I don't know if that would make it the extended or broadcast version.

Interesting, I know Disney usually doesn't redo the DCOM DVDs to be widescreen if it was already released in 4:3 fullscreen, so hopefully what you've said turns out to be true.

Hopefully this release leads to more Disney Channel classics coming to DVD. The Zenon trilogy, the complete series of Even Stevens, and the complete series of Lizzie McGuire are on the top of my Classic Disney Channel DVD wish list. I know Lizzie was close to getting a reboot on Disney+, so hopefully they're working on a DVD set for the original series (though I wouldn't count on it having the original music, as Lizzie had music changes done for re-runs).

iTunes also has the credit card episode, but I don't know if they kept the original music.

Haven't watched any of the discs or opened the set but it has a slip over a big thicker clear case that fits all the discs
The art front and back is the same for the slip and case

It says nothing on the art about replacing music or original music is changed

Disc 1 has episodes 1-8
2. 9-17
3. 18-26
4. 27-35
5. 36-44
6. 45-52
7. Movie

Also no digital copy. Can't comment on quality of episodes since I'm starting them tonight
