All of the Alliance releases are locked to Region A. Sorry!

Thanks for that. Not all of the Alliance releases are locked to Region A. From Dusk to Dawn is one exception. I am hoping that Dracula 2000 may be another exception

When switched over to Regions B & C on my player, I get:

"ATTENTION

This disc has been coded for Region A only and
will not play in this machine. Please eject the disc
and play on a Region A player.

Ce disque est encode pour la Region A

Veuillez retier le disque et l'inserer dans
un lecteur Region A."

Thanks for that. I feared that this would be the case. Upcoming US release doesn't hold a lot of promise for me, so hopefully there will be a Region B release in the near future.

Dracula 2000 has been on blu-ray in Canada since October 6th, 2009! If you are referring to the newer US Echo Bridge disc, its not out in the USA until May 10th 2011. Canada will not be getting it, as Alliance currently appears to have no deal set up for distributing the (possibly poor) Echo Bridge discs here in Canada.

This is true. I own & have watched the disc, & thought it was pretty good for a $10 blu.

Just don't get the EB version it may be region free but the sound is stereo.

Does anyone know if the Japanese version of this is 1080p wth lossless 5.1? So far only the Spanish edition has that.

Seems like the 2-movie(one disk) pack with the sequel would be the better purchase considering it is 1080P? Even though they put 2 movies on one blu ray it would surely be better than this 1080i abomination?
