For those that don't know, Tokyo Shock is releasing this family film on Blu-ray soon!

Just so u know, Fortune Star has this so Im hoping Tokyo Shock struck their own master becuz if they did license it from FS, then we can only expect the worst.

FYI, Dragon Dynasty briefly held the rights to Story of Ricky but their deal with FS was terminated before they could release it.

Tokyo Shock has the original english dub tho. So if they improve the PQ and have the english dub, I will definitely upgrade it from their dvd that I have.

This has one of the greatest English dubs ever.

as much as id like to stop supporting Media Blasters as they are just a continuous disappointment, i cant live knowing theres a blu-ray of this without having it in my collection.

Don't worry, it won't actually be coming in september

Looking forward to this, but not expecting too much from the quality. I've been needing to re-buy this for a while, but the DVD always hovers around ~$20-30. For under $15, this is a definite buy.

Let's not forget that their DVD was just a "legal bootleg" of the Mega Star Hong Kong DVD

As for the HD transfer... Fortune Star DID make an HD transfer, but after seeing the images for 90% of the Kam and Ronson FS-based blu-rays (the Bruce Lee ones are the only true HD releases), I dunno if it's Fortune Star's fault or Kam and Ronson for those damn upconverts.

Here's hoping Media Blasters knows what they're doing...

Wow!!!! Seriously? This is one of those titles I thought I'd never see on Blu-ray! This movie just makes me laugh and laugh. Just like Peter Jackson's early movies this is a true gore/comedy diamond!

Can't wait for this to come out!!!
