What a time to be alive. Lustig has openly wanted to add this to his catalog since the start of Blue Underground. He finally has and now he'll be doing it with style in 4k. This also marks the first 4k poliziottesco! I am so happy for him and all the fans of the genre. Release of the year for me, by far!

Tarantino once said (in his commentary on "True Romance") that (paraphrasing) "half the reason he wanted to become famous was to make the public aware of the really cool, unknown, and unappreciated films". Lustig has definitely been that guy for me, as all it took was purchasing his release of "Contraband" aka "Luca il contrabbandiere" to set me down a wonderful journey exploring all the English-friendly poliziotteschi titles I could get my hands on. I hope this 4k release does the same for others new to the genre!

and we In the UK get a terrible 10 minutes missing export cut by studio canal sometimes I hate livening in the UK especially when a good film like high crime get's a Blu-Ray release and its cut by 10 minutes that why I have no Italian films by them' I wish they never had the rights to the film for the UK release.

Well, that was unexpected. I thought that the first poliziottesco on 4K would have been either The Tough Ones or Caliber 9, since both already have 4K restorations and I think have been more popular sales-wise. Not that I'm complaining, hopefully it's the first of a long list.

The "death" of physical media has brought about some of the best releases of all time. I guess all those folks who held out over the years wanting to cash in before the disc isn't viable anymore, if that ever occurs.

Uh you can still import it. 4Ks are region free.

Doesn’t meet my standards, but I will leave it for now - I want trailers before release, usually original ones, and always have my eye out for them.
