I absolutely love the opening scene - incredible use of the subwoofer and another awesome score by Harry Gregson-Williams, one of my favourite composers.

I'm looking forward to his work on Prince Caspian and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The movie was great in the beginning before becoming absolutely absurd...

I enjoyed the movie, except for the ending. I felt cheated that he didn't die underwater. It felt like two concurrent endings merged into one. I didn't have a problem with the premise because I considered it sci-fi. Why didn't he die?

Um, he DID die. He got "blowed up real good" under water. The Denzel you saw walking up to the girl at the end is his current self, not his (now dead) future self.

Paradoxical time issues aside (which are sort of a stupid argument, because the whole premise is fiction), I enjoyed this movie enough to watch it twice in the span of 3 days--once alone, and again with friends. I enjoyed it, and consider it a keeper.

Thanks for the clarity. No wonder I was so confused. I will watch it again on our next movie night.

since it was the only one that sounded remotely interesting in the Free-Blu-Ray thing for taking the retailer test, I picked it up..... Haven't gotten it in the mail yet, and haven't seen it, but I'll give my take regarding the ending where Denzel "gets blowed up really good" and get back to you!!!

P.S. Spoilers don't bother me, if it's a good movie, you can tell me the whole plot, and I'll still enjoy it!

i also thought it was a good movie. the plot was cool and interesting. some decent action and a few tense moments. i have also seen it twice now and enjoyed it both times. we all have to remember that it is a hollywood movie and somtimes reality is broken. it was a fun movie and i recommend it

Very good movie. One of the best I have seen in the last few years. It looked great in HD and Denzel was great.
