Jar-Jar or Ewoks? Who's worse?

I voted for Ewoks. They ruined ROTJ for me.

Jar Jar by a long shot.

Ewoks only get a bad rap because they're cute and cuddly. They still have enough of a vicious side to defeat the Emperor's best legion of stormtroopers.

Never saw much wrong with the Gungans, goofy accent and all, but Jar Jar is an embarassment even by Gungan standards.

I think the biggest thing is: Ewoks are funny when they're not supposed to be, but Jar Jar is never funny even though he is supposed to be.

I never really understood the hate he gets. C-3PO is more irritating to me. I've even heard people say Jar Jar is racist .

C-3P0 actually provides humor through his nervousness and constant worrying. Jar Jar talking like a mentally challenged person, farting, and bumbling around everywhere isn't funny at all. Well maybe it's funny to little kids, who were Lucas' target demographic apparently.

I remember watching Phantom Menace in theatres thinking "what the hell is this"?

I was so put off by that experience that I didn't even bother going to see Attack Of The Clones (and I still haven't watched it). I was only pursuaded to see the third one because a mate of mine got me into a free pre screening before general release, and it was still pretty bad, not the total car crash that Phantom Menace was, but still awful. So a 2/10 instead of 1/10 etc.

I never had a problem with the character of Jar Jar. Ewoks, on the other hand, affect the plot too much and thus decreased my enjoyment of Return of the Jedi.

And Return of the Jedi has my favourite moments of the whole saga (the scenes with Luke, Vader and the Emperor).

I know right, all Jar Jar did was give Palpatine surpreme power to do anything he wanted, which led to the Clone Wars, the fall of the republic, and the rise of the empire.

It wasn't Jar Jar who gave Palpatine "surpreme power to do anything he wanted". It was the whole Senate. And I can easily buy the concept of Jar Jar as an innocent who's being exploited by others to achieve their "evil" purposes in AotC. Unlike the Ewoks, who have defeated the Empire's best troops with mere sticks and ropes. I get the whole "nature vs technology" motif, but it wasn't executed very well. Also, the Ewoks didn't look alien enough to hold my suspension of disbelief.

Never understood the hate jarJar gets?! The character is about as funny as a burning orphanage! His goofy clumsy pseudo 'comedy' antics knee-capped The Phantom Menace in a manner that no-one could have imagined! I mean, i thought the Ewoks were bad, but JarJar takes the biscuit!
