Anyone trying to find the answer to this:

1) Is fruitless b/c there is no definitive answer; and

2) Misses the entire point of the ending which is that it no longer matters to Dom and he chooses to be happy in whatever it is.

This has been done to death and anyone could make a good case for either. It is the viewer's preference.

1) This thread is fruitless because it isn't looking for a definitive answer here, it's just a poll on what people think (which is far from fact or anything definitive).

2) The film purposefully opens the question for the audience to think about it. We already got the gist of the plot and we have already understood Dom's choices, but that's not the question, or the point of the thread, actually, which seems to have been missed.

1) I'm glad you agree with me.

2) Again, you are not correct as to the purpose of the film's ending. The point is NOT to think about it but to recognize that it no longer matters to Dom. This is not my personal opinion here...

Actually that is an opinion; your opinion of how you think people should view the ending. Everyone has their own interpretations which is cool but don't try to tell people how you want them to view it.

Also: did you think it was reality or a dream?

Its actually quite easy to determine if its reality or a dream. If you look at the shoes of the kids every time they show them they are the same up until the last time you see James and Phillipa, the last time the kids are shown the shoes are different defining that Dom has gone back to reality and to his children the spinning top you also see in the very last shot begins to waver just as it cuts to black.
