The PS4 version is on sale right now at PlayStation store for 22 USD. Is it a good idea to buy it now and later have a free PS5 upgrade or wait for the stand alone PS5 release?

it doesn't matter, it's one of those games that are always on sale. but if you're fine with the price, get it now, since the upgrade isn't that far away

Thank you. So how difficult is this game. I am hearing conflicting reviews. Some says its fun but some say its extremely exhausting and not fun at all. I personally prefer slow paced games but by seeing some of the videos where the truck is stuck inside mud and not coming out seems too much of a work. What's your opinion and also is there an "Easy" mode too like other games where you choose difficulty levels, easy, normal, hard etc

I recommend waiting for the PS5 disc. That way, you will have a hard copy of the PS5 version of the game in case the servers ever shut down later on.

I've never actually driven a big truck or anything through mountains or mud so I can't speak on the absolutes of how realistic the game is. But when you are stuck in mud it's up to you to figure out how to get out. Can you attach to a tree and pull yourself out, do you have something in your garage that can pull you out and so on. If you do this in real life, I don't know if this would be fun. But I really enjoy the game and I am looking forward to the graphics update.

I hear Snow Runner will get a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade which is good to hear.

I have Mud Runner PS4 which I got new for a low price digitally. You can only stay inside the vehicle at all times, but can switch to other vehicles. The physics are nice, when trying to go over the terrain and bumpy roads and through the water and mud. The fuel runs out really fast though and the vehicle can be stranded easily.

Often, I require the winch/pulley to yank the truck out of the mud. The maps are small on the first stage (a few square miles maybe) but I have to progress further to see more.
