Anne Bancroft is great, but it’s mid-tier Lumet at best

Never seen this. Still love Lumet and the cast, so easy purchase.

Very fond of this one, mainly because of Anne Bancroft. I agree it’s not top Lumet, but still very good. There’s an especially wonderful/poignant scene between Ron Silver and Harvey Fierstein set on Fire Island (if memory serve). Speaking of Bancroft and Fierstein, how about a Blu-ray of Torch Song Trilogy?

Glad it's with Kino so I can grab it for under $10 during a sale. Not a great film but Lumet is always worth a purchase.

A dying mother’s (Anne Bancroft, The Graduate) last wish to meet silent cinema star Greta Garbo costs her son (Ron Silver, Timecop) his job, his marriage and his sanity. Carrie Fisher (Star Wars) also stars in this funny and moving slice-of-life film from legendary director Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men).
