Default Your min and max spending per Blu-ray?

What's the minimum and maximum amount you'd shell out on a single blu-ray?

Considering that I just caved to get the Film Arena steelbook for Deadpool 2, I’m guessing that I don’t have a maximum limit?

For a single movie i tend to not go over 15 euros and even that i consider bit steep. 10-12 euros tends to be my "i don't have to think about this too much" price range. Sword Of Doom is probably the most expensive film i bought and it was 20-25 euros.

Single movie, the max I spent was to import the Japanese set of The Neverending Story. That was 63 after the currency converter. It has 2 cuts but I already had the disastrous orange US disc of the first...

Minimum: Free

Maximum: Up to $50 USD and that would only be on occasions for ether a SE multi film set, or the best price available for a OOP title that goes for far more than that.

Minimum I'm willing to pay for a blu ray is $1. Below that, and something has to be wrong with the disc, so I'll pass.

Maximum I've paid for a blu ray is for a blu ray 3D movie, at $42 + tax. It was for Disney's Beauty and the Beast 3D special edition. When I bought it, it was getting rare to find, so when I found it in the store, I said, "What the hell, I'd like to see this classic film in 3D", and bought it to add to my 3D collection. The 3D was worth it, with mostly medium to high medium layers of 3D; a solid conversion and adds new life to the visuals.

For a 2D film, if it's a blu ray set, I would pay up to $30. Above that and I usually wait for a sale price in a few months.

Just too many hobbies and costs to spend too much on one thing. Video games being $59.99 often, I have to be picky with which games I want to buy on release day, or just wait for a sale for the ones I don't need right away.

The PS4 Blu ray video game releases of Spider-Man I bought for 59.99, and Red Dead Redemption 2 pre-ordered for the same price just recently.

Depends how many times I think I'll watch it. If just once, then $5-6. If it's something I know I like and expect to rewatch, then $8-10, figuring that's about the cost of two rentals. Most was $35 for Star Wars IV-VI, a gift for the kids.

What is so special about the Japan version? The max I would spend on a movie is $20 or maybe a little more for a Special edition.

My maximum for a single blu-ray disc seems to be $60 (an OOP Eureka/MOC blu-ray) but for an OOP limited edition box set, the sky is the limit...

Depends on the movie. If it is just a title I sort of like, then most likely a cheap digital copy purchased online for $2 is the way to go. If it is something like Star Wars, Blade Runner, or Marvel, well the sky is the limit.

I try to stick to a rule of $20 max for most anything from Twilight Time to Scream to new releases to 4k titles.

In the early days I did pay $35 for a couple Twilight titles (price plus shipping) because there were no options for "sales"... I think I've paid around $22 to $24 for a couple 4k releases-- again, early on.

These days, the $20 rule seems pretty easy and doable for almost anything that gets released...

So free is not worth an attempt at "trying" the disc? $.000 to $.9900 is still such a small amount to risk, that I'd still take a risk for a movie.

Min: Free
Max: So far $50, but I would consider higher pending movie, extras, collect-ability: like autographed copy etc.
