While there is a dearth of OLED monitors there are quite a few mobile OLED devices beyond just cell phones.
Prices are reasonable when up to a 13-inch display but larger displays jump additional $1000CAD. Anyways what I am curious about is the quality of the mobile OLED displays rather then the gamer bells and whistles reviewers focus on. While I am not expecting blasting nits but Since I am a Graphic Designer/photographer I am interested in such things as is true 10-bit supported? Do they display the full color space OLED are capable of? Is the display uniformity even? Do the blacks come close to TV OLED blacks? This is one I a looking at to give an idea: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/samsung.../6000203500564 (yes I know there are more powerful versions/alternatives) Last edited by Deadend45; 03-22-2022 at 09:08 PM. |

To answer my own question I found this site has in-depth analysis of mobile displays from cell phones to laptops:
https://www.notebookcheck.net/ Like the one I mentioned: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Samsun....604797.0.html |

I think dell better and cheaper.
I use Dell XPS 15 OLED OLED screen, an 8TB SSD, and Intel "Tiger Lake-H" processing, the Dell XPS 15 is our top pick among premium desktop-replacement laptops. |

The notebookcheck site review of the Dell XPS 15 OLED says it has the dreaded Pulse-Width Modulation problem:
"Our results below show a pulse-width modulation frequency of 59.52 Hz even when at the maximum brightness setting" https://www.notebookcheck.net/Power-....428748.0.html |
