Cool Your favorite weird movies?

Hello,

I am searching for weird, artsy and experimental cinema.

Examples would be Harmony Korine's "Gummo" and "Julien Donkey-Boy", Werner Herzog's "Even Dwarfs Started Small" and "Heart of Glass", David Lynch's "Inland Empire", Hélčne Cattet's + Bruno Forzani's "The Strange Color of your Body's Tears" and so on.

Suggestions?

Most of Lynch, Gilliam and Cronenberg's output falls into the weird category.

So Lost Highway, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Videodrome

I'd hardly call it my favorite, but this one is the most nonsensical, weirdest film I've seen...

"Black Moon" seems to be interesting but Criterion is always Region coded and I try to avoid Region A locked titles.

I was interested in "House" (1977) multiple times but I guess Region coding did prevent me in the past to blind buy it.
I now ordered the UK Masters of Cinema BD which was released last year.

Try Alejandro Jodorowsky's stuff. I'm a huge fan. For me The Holy Mountain and Santa Sangre are two of the greatest films of all time. Watching Holy Mountain for the first time was a genuinely transcendental experience for me. I'd also recommend El Topo, Dance of Reality, Endless Poetry and Fando and Lis. Tusk and The Rainbow Thief are okay but very compromised.

But there is only a Japanese Blu-ray without English (let alone German) subtitles?

I just watched the Japanese movie Tag recently (via Netflix). That was one weird movie. On a related note, the same director also did Sucide Circle, which I also recommend watching. Actually just look at most films from Sion Sono

A couple I forgot to mention before are the two films by Paul Cosmatos--Beyond the Black Rainbow and Mandy. They're recent discoveries for me and I find both are quite the strange and stylish horror films. I love 'em.

Came close to listing Sion Sono's other films. Love Exposure and Why Don't You Play In Hell are pretty awesome.

I have "Love Exposure" here on BD.
I started it but haven't finished it yet.
Seems not to be my cup of tea - but I will watch the rest sooner or later.

I have seen "The Holy Mopuntain" but it didn't click.
I have most of Jodorowsky's films on BD but unwatched as of yet.
