Do you buy all your BDs online?

I was wondering how many BD addicts like myself purchase all of their fixes on line to save money? Are there times when you just can't wait for a Hot Title and pay full retail prices at BB?

For me, the savings of disks purchased on line are substantial, but there are a few Hot titles I just have to have on those Christmas Tuesdays...

Do you ever find this to be the case for yourself? ie: I have to have "30 Days of Night" on release day!

I'm pretty much the same way. except now with amazon prime I'm just kind of praying that I get ID4 and the rest of those movies on release day.

Lately ive been buying my blurays from Amazon with prime (gotta love no taxes and free shipping) but there are those times i cant wait for a movie so i pick up in store on release day. Last blu-ray i bought in store was Resident Evil Extinction.

Edit: Err i just remembered i bought RE:E online, they didnt have it in store. Last blu-ray i bought in store was The Game Plan

I cannot think of a single movie I have bought in store. While some have been deals at Wal-Mart or BB (online), most have been Amazon.

I buy almost everything locally. If I can't find something at one place, I go the next one since they're all in the same area. The order is basically this:

Best Buy -> Circuit City -> Target -> Suncoast

If I don't find what I'm looking for at any of those places, I order from Amazon (and sometimes buy.com). Going to Best Buy every Tuesday has pretty much become part of my regular routine and I actually look forward to it.

DVDs tend to have super prices on release week; BDs do not.

I buy where the best deal is. Online or in-store. Doesn't matter to me.

I also make the weekly Best Buy trip on Tuesdays. I will buy some things online if there is a considerable savings, but for the most part I am willing to pay a little more to have the film on release date. I look forward to Tuesday mornings.

The mark up is what gets me at a lot of local stores. Why buy one, when I can BOGO? The latest Wal-Mart and Amazon BOGOs have been online, if you want the titles they are offering it is the only way to go.....

But, I have, in the past, ordered from Frys.com and Deepdiscount.com.

I know what you mean. I love going into BB and seeing all the disks too. Watching the tumbleweeds and cobwebs surrounding the DUD section with the faint, peaceful sound of crickets chirping where they won't be bothered. Its like a candy store.

I like the convenience (instant gratification, I guess) of buying locally. I also like browsing the blu-ray section even if I've seen it a 100 times. I don't know, I just enjoy that part of the process. If I buy online, I pay for next day shipping so what savings I might have had usually gets blown on the shipping anyway.

I do like in store browsing, my wife started emptying my pockets before I go into ANY Best Buy along time ago though....

I buy mine on ebay and used the google checkout 10 dollars off deal a few times

Yeah but if you go to walmart, its 24.88 for new releases and 28 dollars online so its cheaper to go to walmart

Same thing for me as well, from day one. I've bought ninety-eight percent of my high-definition movie collection from Amazon and JR.com. The bogos and discount sales were just too good to pass up, and have saved me a lot of money in the long run.

I don't think that I'll ever buy another movie from another brick and mortar store for some time to come, unless of course it's on an impulse or something.

I mostly get mine online, because for some reason every place that sells BDs in my area only has about two titles in stock. If they do have BDs there priced so high that it's not worth it. My BB is EXTREMELY overpriced, and the only in-store place I've bought Blu-rays is at Wal-Mart, but that's rare.
