Default Children of the Corn (1984) (Remastered)

I want to thank a fellow member on the HorrorDVDs forum for being the first one to tell us. Arrow is planning on releasing Children of The Corn soon! This info came from Callum Wadell himself:

If you think someone wouldn't be able to misspell "the" two different ways in a single tweet, you would be wrong.

Late to the party, already mentioned in the UK Arrow thread yesterday and I've known since at least December (just checked, it was actually the beginning of November) last year but was kindly asked to keep it to myself which I've kept to my word for the last six months (although wasn't sure at the time if it was Arrow or Scream) until Calum (88 films) decided to ruin the surprise. As already mentioned they are searching for the Director's Cut which would make this the holy grail release if successful. There will be at least one more bit of good news (even if the Director's Cut or at least the missing footage is not found) which I will again keep to myself until Arrow officially announce it.

Waddell's too busy tweeting from his orgy with beautiful models to worry about such things. Something all of us who live in mom's basement would never understand.

dsman71, is that you?

I've bought this movie so many times I'm not sure if I want to buy it again. I suppose if they find that missing footage this will automatically become a must-buy. BTW, I hope that "other bit of good news" is Arrow is planning a set of all the films.

Starting threads on the rumors perpetuated by the Arrow's bashers is quite silly.

Afraid not, although that name does ring a bell. The news does not relate to a box set, do not know whether a box set of the films is in the works.

If Arrow tracked down an uncut print of The Mutilator to the Library of Congress, hope springs eternal that they'll be able to find some of that Corny footage!

As much as I hate giving Dr. Waddell credit, his insider knowledge carries more weight than your average rumour. He's correctly leaked titles in the past, including The Driller Killer and Phantasm.

As much as I love Children of the Corn, I've never owned it on Blu-ray before.

I guess that this makes me an outlander!

I'll gladly buy an Arrow edition.

I've got the 88 Films set, so unless Arrow can dig up the long lost maybe once existed uncensored cut, I won't double dip.

Definitely not me, although as said above, I know that name from somewhere, been a member here since 2009 (under X5gb and under previous handle from god knows when before that). Children of the Corn (at least the first movie) is definitely coming, not a rumour. I was asked what I know regarding the Director's Cut (for a Region A release), I am one of the few who recorded it from ITV (Thames, second showing) in 1988 but stupidly taped over it thinking it was just an uncut r rated US version (incorrectly first thought it was the movie premiere on LWT in 87, which I now have and can confirm was the normal version, and which threw me a curve ball as to when it was shown) by a certain somebody but asked to keep it to myself (which I did since November until Calum tweeted regarding it).
