Love the Kelvin Trek but it’s not as good as the original Star Wars trilogy. It’s better than the prequels though. Oh and not better than the ST. It’s close though but Beyond drags it down a bit.

I liked Beyond too. Orr just wasn’t as good as the first two.

A bit close for me, but I give the edge to the Treks.

This is like having to chose between being kicked in the balls or punched in the nose.

Tough choice. I enjoyed ST 2009 and Into Darkness. Beyond, not so much.
The SW sequel trilogy however, I really liked TLJ, but did not like TFA or TROS.

As I liked 2 out of the 3 Star Trek instalments, and only one of the 3 Star Wars instalments, I went with the former.

But neither is very good.

Trek, the SW sequels were nothing short of a disaster.

Trek, because it wasn't the absolute disaster that was the Disney Trilogy.

This isn't Sequel hate at all, I liked both but I'm more of a Trek fan.

Star Trek Kelvin trilogy. I didn't hate Star Wars sequel trilogy, but it had some serious issues with consistency.

I found FORCE AWAKENS fairly watchable (low expectations), and LAST JEDI to be very schizophrenic (really liked the good stuff), and the last one, whatever it was called, was just an utter waste of time, with a finale featuring visuals that were so murky looking that I just about totally disconnected, very disgusted.

Even so, I guess I give it the edge, because the Abrams-directed TREK films are, except for a few scenes in INTO DARKNESS, are downright terrible and to me, felt very insulting as well as stupid. BEYOND was a billion times better, but act 3 was endless and Elba was utterly wasted ... plus it still kept on with the unmotivated moron lens flares. The ship VFX were much improved too, plus there were actually emotional moments that ENGAGED me. (I am a MAJOR trek devotee, mainly just the original series and DS9 and three of the first six features, so the fact BEYOND worked at all was a real revelation for me.)

Actually, just thinking about this made me realize that I'll probably never rewatch any SW film again except ANH and TESB. I tend to watch those in 'highlight' mode, but can also just sit down and watch them straight through every few years, and I can't say that is true for any of the films from JEDI onward.

More like choosing between shot with a phaser or sliced with a light saber. (though I guess death by phaser/disruptor can be zapandyou'regone easy or die agonizingly slow vaporization as in TREK III when Chris Lloyd zaps his gunner.)

Trek, but the first Star Wars had better 3D than any of the others.
