Default Chang'an (2023) Chinese animated historical epic

Quote:
Chang'an (长安三万里, literal translation: 30,000 Miles from Chang'an) is a 2023 Chinese 3D animated historical drama film, follows the story of the decades-long friendship of Li Bai and Gao Shi, amid the Tang dynasty's transition from peak prosperity to the turmoil caused by the rebellion led by An Lushan.

quite like the film, it's beautiful to look at (not too fond of character designs, though), but I didn't expect a nearly 3-hour historical epic in animated form.
Also very surprise that the film succeed at box office (2nd highest grossing Chinese animated of all time), since I doubt that children could sit through 3 hour of depressing life of some poets (there's still some fighting, some funny scenes alright, but still, mostly depressing)
