Default Remember to check your credit card reward points!

I have had my credit card for almost a year and spent a toooooooon of money. The card had a reward zone program that I never paid any attention to. Today my friend made me check my points online. I have sooooooooo much. It depends which store I use them at and I checked out what cash value Circuit City gives for them. I have $650 to use for anything I want at Circuit City!

Now do I wanna get $650 worth of blu-rays or do I want an Xbox 360.....

Anyway, moral of the story is, check your credit card points.

are you much of a gamer? the 360 has some cool older games that you could probaly get on the cheap now but there is a alot of great games coming out on the playstation 3 soon .

if you do lots of gaming i imagine it would be easier just to stick with the ps3 and get $650 worth of games instead of buying a new console then games.

Bank of America

I have had Citi, Chase, and Capitol One before. Out of all of them, Bank of America was the most pleasant and easy to deal with. I currently have two Bank of America cards. One of them donates money to Duck's Unlimited and one of them gets me Chicago Cubs tickets and apparel.

In my experience, Bank of America has the best credit cards.

In my opinion/experience:

Best 1) Bank of America
2) Chase
3) Citi
Worst 4) Capitol One

What company are you with that allows for Futureshop giftcards? I've been wanting to get rid of my Visa, but haven't yet decided on a company to go with.

My chase card is through Amazon and you get a 25.00 gift certificate to Amazon for every 2500.00 dollars spent, plus you get 3pts for every dollar spent at Amazon so with the 100+ thousand dollars I spent with just that card I got alot of gift certificates.
I put 400.00 worth of them towards my TV I bought from Amazon

Thumbs up

I have gotten some pretty good rewards with AMEX.

I have the cash rebate BLUE card and some years my rebate is ~$300!

The great thing is I can use it for travel expenses for work that really rack up points.

After I got in to Blu-ray, I started using my annual rebate as "mad money" to pick up extra movies that I have wanted, but wouldn't normally buy.

What is the dollars spent to reward money ratio on your Bank of America card? I've been using my Amex rewards card for 4 years solid and have only managed to rake up ~$605, and I get awarded that in $5 increments which I can't resist spending at the time. I'm pretty sure I buy more expensive toys and gadgets as the average person, so I'd be curious to see if whichever Bank Of America card you are using is worth looking into.

Seconded. No sense in wasting your hard earned money on the Red Ring of Death Box. $650 can be very well spent in many, many, MANY other ways.

the cool thing is if you held off to get some of those odd releases you can get excellent deals on used titles at amazon.com. Some are as low as 12.00 and they are a few months old

i have 2 rewards cards. amazon and shell gasoline. i just got my 1st amazon coupon code form it. very sweet. my gas one automatically deducts the rewards from my gas purchases. cartainly helps with the $3+ prices per gallon. but it still hurts.

I have a chase freedom, and if we save up $200 (at 1% cashback on all purchases or 3% back on gas, food, groceries) then we get a $250 check. Good deal.

Sorry I can't answer that one. I havent been following my points at all and I would have to go over all my past bills to tell u how much I spent. All I know is that I have had the card since april and I have used it a lot.

The $650 was as a nice surprise for me though because I had completely forgotten about the rewards program.
