Fright Night Part II was made by The Vista Organization (formerly The Vistar Group) who produced the first 1985 film and retained the rights to the characters and titles. The rights of the first film stayed at Columbia Pictures (Sony Pictures).

Even though the film only grossed close to $3 Million at the box office (Not the films fault, there was only a minimal ad campaign for the film, not even a Theatrical Trailer was produced only TV spots!) the film has a following. Not as good as the first film but a worthy sequel none the less.

Why is this film not available on Blu-ray!!!
