Default Dumb And Dumber 1994 Theatrical cut

Anyone who wants this. It's on Vudu for 9.99 if interested. I just got it through there and it's the Theatrical cut for sure. I mean 9.99 for it not bad at least in my opinion. So just a heads up if you don't want to get the old DVD or anything

I think it's time for Shout Factory to do a CE 2-disc set with both cuts.

I gave away my original DVD after buying the unrated version before watching it. Had to rebuy it because the unrated cut completely ruined the pacing. I'd kill for a theatrical Blu.

So long as it is priced as a non-CE edition, I’d be all for it so that I could BURN the extended cut disc included within it and not feel as if I wasted any money by doing so. Otherwise, just give me the theatrical cut for a fair price (under $20 shipped).

EXACT SAME FOR ME! Except that I haven’t repurchased it in hopes that a BD will come eventually.

Definitely dying for a Theatrical Blu! Maybe next year for the 25th anniversary they will give it what it deserves

Just do a 4K UHD Blu-ray or 4K remastered Blu-ray with both cuts available on the disc. Problem solved.

Why would Warner/New Line give this film up to Shout Factory? it's an all-time comedy classic not going to ever happen unless Harry and Lloyd are working for Warner.

Picked up the Theatrical on iTunes. It comes with the Unrated and a bunch of extras, including even longer versions of the already drawn out unrated scenes.

We need to thank the editor or studio chief that overruled the Farrellys. It’s incredible how the unrated kills the pacing, tone, and ruins the innocence of the characters.

Is the theatrical cut available as an import BD from anywhere? Or has the Unrated cut been the only version released on blu?

Looks like every release is the same 113 minute cut. You can easily check all releases worldwide by setting your site preferences to "all countries" and heading here:

I do believe that unrated cut was the studio riding the “unrated” wave as hard as they could, and that the theatrical was the Farrellys’ preferred cut, unless someone has evidence to the contrary

Yeah, this release came out when almost every popular or failed comedy was given an Unrated release. I don't see a 4K version of Dumb and Dumber coming out any time soon (or ever), so I'm guessing we won't see the theatrical cut on disc. Especially since it didn't happen in 2014 around the second movie's release date.

Both versions should, as always, be readily available. That said, I think I'm the only person who prefers the "unrated" cut.

A good portion of the unrated scenes were released on prior home video versions of Dumb and Dumber outside the US, at least here in the UK and Australia. There's at least 4 officially released cuts over the years.

This is a pretty popular and iconic film why can't they release a UHD with both unrated/theatrical cuts to please everyone.
