A very good point. I'm happy with the Severin disc right now, and of course always open to other releases, but that issue could be four legit flies in the ointment...

I could be vaguely interested only if it’s confirm it doesn’t have any kind of forced subs and it has the original italian opening and end credits (seems to remember Severin only has english ones). Severin encoding looks great to me from caps.

I prefer watch Italian credits and text whenever I watch it in Italian. The killer's threatening letters in Italian are damn charming! ![]() |

Carlotta don't seem to have a solid, singular policy with regard to caps. Some French subs are optional for the purposes of translation, whilst others are for the hearing-impaired.
English subs seem to be the one constant: namely, they don't have them at all. This would be rather inconvenient for the denouement, as there's a good chance that the French version will go for the "Director's Cut" only, leaving chunks of expository material in Italian. This happened on all previous European blu-ray releases of it - it was always in the back of my mind that the Italian dialogue was coming up when watching the German disc. I watched my 4K copy last night, and am very happy with it. I hope that Severin do eventually release a no-frills edition of it so that everyone else who weren't able to pick it up on the Black Friday scramble can get hold of it, too. |

I am hoping that if France is getting a release, perhaps UK will at some point as well. Going by the lack of English subs on the Koch edition, I feel like it needs to be a UK release if I want it to be English friendly. |

Frankly, I don't expect much from the UK in this case, mainly thanks to Shameless clowns. Considering that they recently released the absolutely useless Argento box set via Cult Films, doesn't seem like it's gonna happen soon... And of course things can change. I personally wish Camera Obscura would tackle this. If they do, I'll double-dip for it in a heartbeat! ![]() |

So, has anyone got this one yet? I'm dying to see how it compares to Severin's.
