Default Vava Chroma triple laser UST

big push yesterday with the release of the new VAVA UST, It was 2799 with your choice of a 100 inch or 120 ALR screen. The screens themselves went for 649 and 799. I have the original VAVA UST and it's terrific. The deal was for yesterday only and orders for the USA went fast. The latter ones have a January delivery date. Mine is scheduled for November while those lucky enough were able to get an October delivery. The price was tax free and about 50% off what it will cost you today to buy one but we know there are always sales to be had probably by mid next year once the orders are filled.

Update:As of this morning the deal is still alive with a few left.

I backed it too. I got the 120 inch screen and the early bird price. I think it is going to end up being a heck of a deal.

Someone on another forum just posted that the Vava Chroma triple laser does not have CMS controls. That's not a good thing as you can't adjust the color accuracy or color saturation.

it does..it's actually called the chroma adjustment in the menus...at least that's what it is on the prototype that was reviewed.

I think a lot of people are just guessing some things at this point. Do I think this is going to be the best projector ever. No, and I don't have 50k to throw at a Sony. Is it a heck of deal with a ton of amazing features included and some that will be added with firmware updates, yet. Vava is really trying to establish themselves in the projector market after the success of their first projector. I was going to by the Epson LS500 and a screen for over $4000 at the end of the year. After reading about this my wife said go for it since my current projector is an Optoma that is 8 years old. The big drawback for us is going down from a 132" screen to a 120' screen and the new screen isn't retractable. We might buy and electronic retractable screen later but want to see just how good the Vava screen is first. It has me excited. We also like the built in speakers. We currently have a surround sound setup, 7.1 but we never liked the size of it in the room. We want the living room to have a more natural feel about it.

I watched a video of the VAVA screen being set up and it's way ahead of anything else out there as far as assembly and adjustments for hanging. How good does it look when compared to the other screens??....they will be available shortly so I hope we get an answer to that sooner than later.

I own the VAVA ALR screen with the VAVA UST. Awesome screen material. The border is just black plastic, though, and can be a little hard to align perfectly. I got it for just under $500 with an Amazon coupon and have no regrets. It rejects ambient light pretty well.

I wonder what the difference is in the screen that the original one cost less than the new one. The original is still available.

I was wondering that too. I found on one website (I think walmart.com) the one that was $50 more was marked easier to assemble.

I hate to say it but a little pressure on the home front caused me to cancel. My VAVA UST was a present from the lady of the house so rather than upset her by selling it so soon..less than a year..I made a really hard decision to pass. I did however order the new version of the 100"screen from Best Buy and they will install it for an additional 149.It is scheduled to arrive in store this week and the the install is set for 10/8 in the AM. If myself and my buddy decide to do it ourselves I can always cancel the install appointment.

I am sure I will regret the decision to cancel..I have my fingers crossed for the rest of you for a quick delivery and i will keep an eye out on the AVS for any further news and reviews.

Now that these are available, can anyone weigh in on the differences in person between the Chroma and the previous VAVA 4K? Having some trouble finding any real comparisons between the two.
