Best Buy Steelbook Exclusives

Has anyone actually been able to pre-order online or pick-up copies in-store of the many BB exclusive Steelbooks in Canada?

Heat 4K UHD got announced recently, and BB has yet to list the Steelbook on their website, the standard version only.

Unfortunately, not all BB USA steelbooks make it up here. Anything catalogue by Disney hasn’t received a release up here. We never got Speed, Unbreakable, Home Alone or Hocus Pocus. So more than likely, Heat isn’t coming.

My local BB is a complete disaster now. They only have two cubes and that’s it. The movie wall has vanished. I don’t even recall the last time I walked into BB and actually found a steelbook of a new release. All my orders have been online and shipped.

Yes, the Canadian BB website has very few steelbooks available, and the ones that they do list for pre-order tend to sell out immediately due to scalpers and re-sellers.

I keep a tab open for this page, and check it at least once a day to try to catch titles I might be interested in:

I went into my local BB a few weeks ago to see if HEAT (the standard edition) came into the store. Nope, they never got any in. What a disaster, such a shame. It's hard to believe that 20 years ago retailers were loaded with isles of movies. Now... empty. So sad the state of movie collecting and the habits of consumers nowadays.
