Now that Disney owns it, I doubt you will be seeing this great movie anytime soon on disc or on Disney+

Just watched this movie on dvd, would buy it again on bluray if it becomes available!

With news being quite slow regarding announcements of releases across some of the various labels, I was about to voice surprise that (far as I know) Quills has still not been put on Blu-ray. The cast of this excellent film – Winslet, Caine, Phoenix, and Rush and quite a few more well-known names beside – mean that it's hardly an obscure title. Then I saw that Disney owns it.

The film also reminds me of how good Caine is at playing unpleasant or unsavoury characters.

With the recent collaboration between Disney and Criterion, some are speculating that Criterion is going to obtain the rights to a handful of Fox titles. Let the rumour mill start! This film would be a fine addition.

Hey, maybe Disney could make it a package deal and throw in the stash of 3D films that Disney steadfastly refuses to release on its own?
