This cover is in-character and in-line with Bret Easton Ellis' personal design sensibilities.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had his hand in it or they referenced his new book cover editions.

Is the uncut version in 4K I wonder? Or is that the same as the previously released UHD? Not fully up to speed on the different cuts of this film

The Lionsgate UHD is the uncut/unrated one. The R-rated cut, funnily enough, has only ever been released on BD in Germany.
