Default Help with TV

Hi All,

This is my first post, as i am a new member, i have been reading the forums ever since the beginning of this year and have enjoyed all the information everyone has been sharing. I am currently looking for a HDTV and would like some input.

My budget for a TV would be around 1,000 - 1,500 for a 32" TV. Any suggestions. The Sharp Aquos LC37D43U came to mind but a 32" displaying 1080p i assume would just be overkill. And any thoughts if hdmi 1.3 should be considered or would 1.2 be adequate for this size.

Main purpose would be playing Blu Ray movies, Games Via PS3 60 gig.
_________

Well, a good HDTV in that price range would have to be ViewSonic 37" LCD HDTV which is exclusive at Costco (Canada) for just $899.99 down from $999.99 since December. It has 3 HDMI inputs and 1 component input, some RCA inputs, VGA input, ATSC tuner and more. In fact, you can take up to 6 months to pay it all off without any interest. It's a 720p LCD HDTV (1366x768 resolution) but it can accept 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i signals though it can accept 1080p signal (which is not listed on the box) but there's really no point in using the 1080p signal because it's a 720p. However, you will HAVE to use 1080i signal to watch Blu-Ray movies on PS3. Overall, it look great especially with a price of only $899.99.

I happen to own one of them, I'm really pleased with it.

Do you have room for a 50"? 32" is very small now days

You can get the sony KDF50E2000 (lcd RP) for $1,478.99 at BB OR
at CC they having a sale(s) on the KDF-46E2000 (lcd rp) $1349.99 OR
Samsung HL-S5087W (1080p DPL) $1699.99

1.3 will only be in the premium tvs this year.

I wanted a 32" for the bedroom and probably waiting for a year or so to make a bigger purchase.. probably a 50" (plasma, LCD, heck even Laser if that ever hits the market but highly doubt it).. i want to see how the new 120hz tv's turn out.

Any input on this?

Well, the bigger the display, the worse it will look when it come to the 60Hz refresh rate. That's why they are bringing 120Hz out for new LCD HDTV displays out this year.

Then just get a HD CRT for now, cheaper & save that $500 you saved too goto your next tv. You can get Pany's cheap now days (Panasonic TH-42PX60U)
As long as you don't play games 4+ hours 7days a week!?! you should be fine w/ a Plasma

http://reviews.cnet.com/Panasonic_TH...5.html?tag=pop

120hz tv sound good on paper but we will have to see if the 1st nexgen of the these tv's work out good, same goes w/ hdmi 1.3. The nexgen Pioneers look promising, being able to produce deep blacks.

Default Deal of the DAY!!!!

Hi All,

I was shopping for food at my Price Smart here in Panama and came upon a great deal. They had the Sharp Aquos LC37D43U 37" LCD HDTV for a clearance price of $649.00. In Panama the prices are much higher versus the USA. The PS3 is $599 and games are $70.00.

I went ahead and bought one for my bedroom.

Okay ready for opinions...remember be nice...

Ciao.
