We (family) enjoyed the movie and will likely pick it up in 4k. Not too fond of the art/design used though for the SB.

It may sit for a couple weeks, maybe even a month but I doubt it will last until Black Friday. Even so, the Disney titles that go up for sale at various retailers are usually whatever was released theatrically earlier in the year.

I'll be buying this one. I'm trying to get all the live action "remakes" on steelbook. I need to get the Jungle Book at some point as well.

Recent Disney Steelbooks have been sitting for a while. Avengers 4K, Age of Ultron 4K, Cap First Avenger 4K, Lion King 4K, etc... off the top of my head. The two Avengers ones released in August and are still collecting dust near me.

i could've maybe got this and been alright with it even though we all agree the front is a waste. But now that the animated movie is coming out and it looks so amazing it makes this one look even worse. not saying theres no way i'm getting this because usually my policy is to pickup most disney steels. but the odds of it happening just went down.

Yes I know that but something tells me that this one isn't gonna be produced like the Marvel steels. You can never tell because The Little Mermaid sold out release week, I believe Lion King too (depending on your area for the latter) Even then, if it does make it to Black Friday I highly doubt it goes on sale. I may be forgetting but do we have any examples of this?

I'm thinking this is going to be one of those that look much better in hand. We'll see but I have purchased all of Best Buy's Disney 4K steelbooks so far, this isn't bad enough art for me to stop now.

True but that was a new release that was mass produced to hell. I think they've learned their lesson since then.
I would like for this to last to BF and drop but I don't see that happening
