better yet, hold off on spending any more money on DVDs... this way the money can go towards a "PS3 Sooner!" fund.

Think of it in a different perspective. You still have a gaming system and movies to enjoy. A BD player is not that expensive. By the way...

This would be the best route for you for sure. Most 360 games have equivalents on PS3 anyway, and you will no longer need to support a dead format on a dying console.

Yes, don't spend any more on DVD. Just save up to buy the PS3 or a $250 blu-ray player. That's probably the best strategy. Sell your HD add-on, that should help as well.

I actually, last year bought the 360 for my son, because of Halo 3 and later bought the add on later. that's all the Wife would let me spend. She is a hard one to convince. Limited funds here. Work tons of overtime. kids are hard

Well I wouldn't scrap your Hd Dvds yet but save some money and defineatly add Blu-ray. I am format nuetral and I am keeping it around. But Blu-ray is going to win now and you do need to phase in Blu-ray. Get a Ps3 you will want profile 1.1.
