Default Newbie question on production companies

Who ultimately determines which movies go to BD? Amblin is Spielberg's company, yes? Flags of our fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Geisha, all released on BD, but no Jurrasic Park, Saving Private Ryan (wow do I want that on BD), etc...
Anyone have a way to intro a newbie (7 BD's so far in collection) to what goes into movies hitting BD?
Thanks

Those are Universal Movie. Spielberg only control the movie he directed. That's because he use his own movie to back them up and unlike all other directors, he own his movie (Lucas is the same).

Personnally i thurst them more to do a proper HD master when they will judge it appropriate...
