- What were the other two releases mentioned aside from CHRISTINE and FRIGHT NIGHT?
- The other two haven't been mentioned but one will be the brand new 4 k restoration of journey to the center of the Earth.
Do you think the 4K could be better? Is it always such the case?

Interesting. I have the original and I can definitely see how it could be improved upon so I'll almost certainly be picking up this release. Funny enough, the fact that it was autographed on the case itself (an annoyance) might actually be helpful in this case. I can just swap the art and the disc over. Thanks, Pat Boone!

Do you think it would be safe to sell this before the release of the new Blu-ray?
I have it (haven't watched it yet), but I was thinking of selling it now in anticipation of the 4k restoration..

I guessed right. Of all the re-releases upcoming, this was most deserving of a new 4K resto. Should be a night and day difference from the old TT disc

So, there's no fear of this being de-grained in this 4K release?

Anything's possible, but coming from a 4K scan vs an old dated master, there should be way more detail.. I have to imagine since they decided to invest in a new restoration, that they wouldn't screw it up with a whole lot of digital tampering, but I guess you never know nowadays.

Oh thank God, I missed out on the original release, and it's been at the top of my wishlist ever since. Maybe I can catch this one now before it sells out.

I've got the region free Australian Blu-ray of Journey to the Center of the Earth, which reportedly has the same transfer as the original Twilight Time release, and I think that it looks pretty awesome.

That said, the Australian disc only set me back about $15, so it might be worth it to take a leap of faith and double-dip with the Twilight Time 4K restoration.

The unfortunate aspect of this is that, by the time a proper Blu-ray review of the 4K release comes out on this site or any of the other reputable review sites, the new disc may already be sold out. I won't whine, though, because I'm happy to see Twilight Time re-releasing their sold-out catalogue.

The old disc only offers a small improvement over the DVD:

The new 4K version should be leaps and bounds ahead.

I thought that the transfers for the old BD were rough looking. Didn't realize they were barely better than DVD, though. I just figured it had to with all the effects.

One of the old classics! I'll gladly double-dip for this one, expecting that the improvement will be substantial.

Awesome news. I love hearing people saying they are glad that they didn't pick up previous releases. It's like they always knew something like this would happen.

Sounds good. I will try and pick up this one for sure.

I hope that Fright Night is one of the re-releases... that was funny the way that person asked about the releases.

Awwww heck yes!!!

I've been debating importing the Hollywood Gold version, so glad I've held off. I won't miss this pre-order now that I know about TT.

If the original release had not sold out, thereby demonstrating a market exists, perhaps they would not be doing a 4K restoration now.

So on behalf of all the other SUCKERS who bought the first TT release, I just want to say, "YOU'RE WELCOME!"

I'll be happy to buy it again and give my original copy away to one of my friends.

This movie is in my personal top 10. I'm glad to see it fully restored.

Now, Let's get the 1956 Moby Dick restored!!!!
