So I’ve been told that studio canal are very happy with the recent 4k sales

So I would assume anything they have a 4k scan lying around is now fair game

Really wish Studio Canal would have issued Last Year at Marienbad to 4K since it was a 4K transfer. Would have been interesting to see how well it would have sold.

Will wait for actual reviews for Don't Look Now 4K before I purchase it. Their Blu was not the best

Did a Roeg marathon as soon as I heard. PERFORMANCE (WAC BD), DON'T LOOK NOW (Criterion BD) and BAD TIMING (Network UK BD). My brain feels as though it's melting, as his films are crammed with so much detail and layers upon layers of various types of metaphor, but it's always a journey worth embarking on. The man was a master, with EUREKA being the tipping point between brilliant Roeg and hit-or-miss (to put it mildly) Roeg.

Regarding the forthcoming 4K UHD of DON'T LOOK NOW, I sincerely hope - for the sake of those keen on it - that Studio Canal doesn't utilize the same DNR-laden master they employed for the UK BD (which I still own, solely for the Roeg commentary). If they do, the Criterion will obviously remain the definitive home video version.

I'm not much of a fan of steel books and certainly wouldn't pay the asking price for this but damn it does look lovely...
