Default Lionsgate to Miramax duplicates?

I realize there's been several side conversations on this topic, but I thought it would be nice to consolidate all the information out there. Especially because I'm just plain confused!

I have several originally-Lionsgate titles, that are now listed as Miramax and they show as duplicates in my iTunes Mac library. I have hid the Lionsgate versions, and my expectation is that some of the Miramax titles will get a 4K upgrade.

Some examples:
The Others
Pulp Fiction (can't remember, I may have re-purchased this as Miramax)
No Country for Old Men
Scream 1-3.

What's the story here, and have any of the titles that got a duplicate Miramax version ever get a 4K upgrade?

Or, have I lost my mind and accidentally purchased duplicates over the years?

If you’ve got duplicates that are stating the studio is Miramax then you can only of re-purchased them.
Have a look at your purchase history, if you purchased any after July 2020 then thats when Paramount took over and the new listings appeared in the store.

I can see my purchase history on my Mac, but only by year, and there is no way to sort/search. Any tips? I have 1000+ movies so scrolling isn't a good option.

EDIT - OK I guess I did purchase all of these these twice ugh. Well dumb on me for seeing a movie on sale, and not checking to see if I already had an old/different listing in my iTunes.

Easiest thing to do in those situations is to search for a movie via the ATV app then if you already own it it’ll say play or resume.
The iTunes Store/Movies app however will only show the current store listing.

Interesting. But annoying. As I'd prefer not to have to turn on the TV, etc. when I'm usually seeing the sales on my iPhone/Mac. But now I'll know better! For independent films, I do often do a double-check, just because I know that studios occasionally switch.

Then just use the ATV app on your iPhone, works exactly the same way.
You can’t quite see it in this image but the iTunes Store is showing Pulp Fiction available for purchase, yet the ATV app shows I already have it.

That method didn't work for me for Gangs of New York. I own the Miramax version that I purchased in 2019.

On my Windows PC iTunes, 2 of my Lionsgate/Miramax titles go wonky when I click on the "Show in iTunes Store" tab. She's All That goes to the Store home page (not the title itself) and Good Will Hunting goes to Milk. ???
