Disney Movie Club Exclusive Request: "Life with Mikey: 30th Anniversary Edition"

Dear Bob Chapek,

I have a proposal for Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment: in honor of its impending 30th Anniversary next Summer, it's my humblest suggestion that Disney issue and release, as a Disney Movie Club Exclusive, a VHS, DVD and Blu Ray combo titled "Life with Mikey: 30th Anniversary Edition," a loving showcase of the hit '90s Disney movie "Life with Mikey" starring Michael J. Fox.

Released theatrically on June 4, 1993, "Life with Mikey" was issued and released by Disney under its dearly-departed Touchstone Pictures banner.

The film starred Michael J. Fox as Michael "Mikey" Chapman, a 30-year-old Talent Agent who, in his youth, was a former child star on the fictional '70s sitcom "Life with Mikey" who retired from acting at the age of 15 years old.

With help from his older brother, Ed (Nathan Lane, futurely of the hit Disney film "The Lion King"), Little Mikey (as his fans called him) set out to look for the next big child star--eventually finding her in Angie Vega (Christina Vidal).

How did Mikey discover Angie? When she stole his wallet; unbeknownst to him, Angie had a rough go of it so far in her youth: her unseen mother died when she was very young, and her widower father (Ruben Blades) was in a Rehab Center upstate in Elmira, New York.

Despite this, Mikey understood Angie more than either of them were willing to even admit to each other.

"Life with Mikey" was given an MPAA rating of PG for brief profanity.

Tentatively, Disney shall issue "Life with Mikey: 30th Anniversary Edition" as a Disney Movie Club, appropriately enough, on Friday, June 9, 2023--Michael J. Fox's 62nd Birthday as well as the 30th Anniverary week of "Life with Mikey" being theatrically released by Disney under its Touchstone Pictures banner.
