first of all let me rave about the movie, a sequel that is just as good as the first one. Secondly technically, this is going to look and sound marvelous - no word on what the audio will be as it's yet been announced but the end credits denote both Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. Studiocanal always worries me for us Yanks who don't have televisions that can playback 50i video encoded supplements, I've been burned in the past over this aspect.

Since I fully expect WB to drop the ball and not give us a 4K because of how it’s doing, I’ll be importing this and the first one since the UK is amazing and giving these films the love it deserves.

I loved the first movie and missed this in theatres. Ticks me off that we aren’t getting a 4k release in Canada either. Well at 4k is region free and is coming out more than a month before the N. American release. I guess I’ll be ordering from the uk

someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the theatrical DCP's were 2K so I'm assuming the UHD is an upsampling.

DCP's here in the US had the audio at 7.1 and Dolby Atmos. End credits also denote DTS-X. My money and guess is that the UK edition will be Atmos. I didn't think Dolby did a 'Vision' "Cinema" release.

StudioCanal Germany also claims the film is getting Dolby Atmos. They are usually similar (if not identical) to what StudioCanal UK releases when both divisions are releasing the same film around the same time--note the apparent mention of English SDH subtitles for the German UHD BD--and Canal has been much more Atmos-friendly than DTS:X (I don't think they have any Blu-rays with DTS:X, actually), so I would guess it will be Atmos, especially since the WB disc apparently has the Atmos mix, too.

Both the discs have Dolby Atmos (TrueHD 7.1 core) and a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track. All the extras (including the commentary) are confined to the regular blu-ray, which is region B locked. On the plus side, there is no 25p/50i content on either disc.
