Now like any European film announced by Criterion we play the waiting game to see if they borked the colours.
It will be heartbreaking for a masterpiece like this which hasn’t had an English friendly release since the VHS days. |

I have no idea what the films looked like originally, but you can see shots of the film on Criterion's page, and they definitely have a yellowish/green hue to them.

The new 2k restoration of India Song was released on blu-ray in France (without English subtitles) by Tamasa in 2020. Assuming it's the same restoration, you can take a look at the colors here in the trailer...
