Eagle Rock Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray/CD Lynyrd Skynyrd: Live At Knebworth '76. The release will be available for purchase on April 9.

pre-ordered.

back in '96 at the age of 16 i got a summer job in St Louis on the local crew at Riverport Amphitheater & worked several concerts - among them Doobie Bros & Lynyrd Skynyrd. having a backstage pass (crew = not all access) for the show, i was able to get onto the side of the stage to watch "Free Bird"

will be stoked to see more footage of the original line-up, tho

Pre-ordered this to add to all of the Skynyrd concert videos I already own.

This concert has always had my favorite live rendition of Freebird. The lousy quality clips are on youtube, I am hoping for at least a slight improvement with this blu-ray.

That included documentary is indeed well worth picking this up too, it was excellent.

I am really surprised they didn't "erase" the Stars and Bars from the footage but I'm glad they didn't.

Yet the listing still says the release date is April 9

And the site review is up, so clearly the discs have been made. I wonder what the (potential) holdup is.

UPDATE: It updated again, now it says it’s expected ON 5/18. WTH! This is a birthday gift for my uncle (5/23), so I sure hope there isn’t a further delay......

Item shipped, arrived tomorrow. Don't know why Amazon initially said it was delayed, but it seems it'll be arriving on time after all.

Just checked my order status and it says arriving Tuesday, hasn't even shipped. I am a prime member and I did not select the slow shipping option at check out.

I would have liked to be able to watch this over the weekend
