Neither of the other Ant-Man films had huge openings, $57 and $75 million, so I think somewhere in the $60-65 million range is fair.

Marlowe is opening Tuesday here, but I saw a trailer on Knock At The Cabin and it was the first time I've heard of it, so I'm guessing most normal watching folk have never heard of it.

Saw a few trailers for Emily last summer, but it looked like a movie that would tank in theaters.

That Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey also opens at my theater this week.

I'm just happy that we got a new movie each week now, for the next month, to get me to theaters, with Ant-Man, Cocaine Bear, Creed III, Scream 6

This movie leaked online a few months ago. Must've been released overseas somewhere.

My theatre is getting:

-- Ant Man 3
-- Marlowe
-- Devil's Peak (looks decent but it will be on digital a week later)
-- Consecration (a week too late)
-- Murder On The Orient Express (1974) (flashback cinema)
-- Winnie The Pooh Blood & Honey (looks to be playing all week long)

and they'll be getting rid of She Came From The Woods, and To Leslie, after only playing both for one week each.

They're also getting rid of Fear, and Maybe I Do, both after 3 weeks.

and finally getting rid of Black Panther 2.

That's nice. At the AMCs and Regals here it's only playing for one night.

Tied with a Eternals as the lowest MCU cinemascore, and below the B+ that Doctor Strange and Thor earned last year. This is likely going to be heavily frontloaded.

Did the poll take into account it's a 4 day weekend? (Presidents Day)

Already made $65 million for Friday, and Thursday, showings. It'd have to bomb on Sat-Sun pretty bad to make that $95 million projection.

BoxOfficeMojo has the wrong Friday number.

It’s made $46M Friday (including $17.5M Thursday) so that’s a $28.5M true Friday.

If it makes the same $29M on Saturday, it needs to make $25M on Sunday to reach $100M.

If Ant-Man 3 has a similar box office trajectory as those previous 2 MCU entries, it'll finish with 600-620 mil. And neither word of mouth(a B rating on Cinemascore) nor the Chinese market(a weak $19.5 mil debut this weekend) are going to help.

That would be a disastrous start to Phase Dive given how much was riding on this particular film with regard to the Kang story arc.

@ScottMendelson

#MagicMikesLastDance added 1,558 theaters in its second weekend, grossing $5.525 million (-37%) for an $18.2 million ten-day cume. Not sure whether this experiment worked yet ($38M worldwide thus far), but you can't say WBD let it die on the vine. #BoxOffice

#PussInBoots2 has earned $168M domestic and $421M worldwide, besting 'Sing 2'. Say it with me now... Puss in Boots can't be bargained with, he can't be reasoned with, he doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and he absolutely will not stop… *ever*, until you are dead! #BoxOffice

James Cameron's #Avatar2 has now surpassed James Cameron's #Titanic (again?) to become the third-biggest global grosser of all time with $2.243 billion global. "Take *that*, James Cameron!" shouts James Cameron... #BoxOffice
